Design Build
One of the more sophisticated forms of project delivery in today’s construction industry is commonly known as “Design-Build.” This process integrates the responsibilities of design and construction in a single source available to the client. Through teaming agreements, joint ventures and partnerships, experienced companies in the fields of architecture, engineering and construction join together to plan, develop and build projects on behalf of an owner. O&G Industries has successfully performed the role of design-builder for both public and private sector clients.
As the lead of the design-build team, O&G directly engages and manages the various design consultants, as well as the prime and specialized subcontractors involved in the project. This team is assembled at the beginning of the project in order to continually draw on each party’s expertise during the design and construction phases. The responsibility for designing and constructing the project to the Owner’s performance criteria and program rests solely with O&G. The master budget and schedule are established in the early phases so the owner can depend upon a result that meets his or her needs. The owner has only one contract with a sole source (O&G) for design, construction and fiscal responsibility.
