LEED Certified Green Building
“Green Building” is all about increasing the efficiency with which buildings and their sites use and harvest energy, water, and materials; and reducing building impacts on human health and the environment. In O&G’s commitment to green building, our intent is to build a facility that is environmentally responsible and is a healthy place to work and/or learn.
O&G has been a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) since 2005 and the USGBC has held private workshops at our Torrington headquarters. Over 50 members of our staff have attended these workshops and many are now LEED Accredited Professionals. In addition, Engineering News-Record ranks O&G Industries in the country’s top 50 Green Contractors!
