Milford Hospital added 89,500 SF and renovated over 30,000 SF. An “HTS” unit was installed which supplies the Hospital with air through a hepa filter system. The addition consists of six suites: an Emergency Department, including nurses' station, treatment rooms, all med gases, decontamination unit, triage and doctors’ and nurses’ offices; the Quick Care which includes laboratories; O.R., including isolation rooms, life support systems and special wall coatings; Central Sterile with new sterilizers and extensive cabinetry; LDRP with new birthing unit; ICU, including life support systems, gas isolation and more offices; a new Central Plant with redundant systems.

This project required a detailed site logistics plan be developed in the Pre-Construction Phase to minimize disruptions to patients, emergency vehicles, staff and visitors during construction on a very restrictive site.
